This is a Starwhale in its mobile environment suit. The entire suit, it should be noted, is bioengineered; it is all organic, and all living. The main body of the suit, for example, is distantly related to giant sea-worms which crawl the seas of the Starwhales' home planet. The Starwhale is in essence sitting in the suit's digestive tract; the suit's digestive juices have been modified to keep the Starwhale's skin clean, while providing the suit with nourishment. The template creature, though, had no legs.
