An M4AS Katydid, a medium aerotank. Like most 23rd-century
tanks, the Katydid's firepower comes not from gunpowder weapons
but mainly from missiles, supplemented by lasers (largely for anti-personnel
fire). On the turret, you can see the two armored missile ports;
the various reflective domes scattered about house laser-reflectors.
The two large 'wings' on the turret are actually sensor/communication booms,
designed to give the tank a small native ability to fire from cover.
The tank is also equipped with a small remote sensor drone (its access
port is on the rear), allowing AFOF (Automated Forward Observer Fire).
The finer-looking things sticking out from underneath are the directional
hovercones.
