Qiqiu
The Qiqiu are a starfaring but mysterious sapient race. A typical Qiqiu is about 4-6 meters in diameter, with large transparent sections.Visible within are the internal organs. The Qiqiu's so-called "tentacle/fan pairs," spread around the base, provide for navigation, capture of prey and manipulation of tools. The bioluminescent markings are the Qiqiu's major form of communication; strips located within these networks provide for EM sensitivity (from the visible well into the ultraviolet). The 'mouth' is located in the middle of the Qiqiu's underside.
